The Transition is a hybrid initiative, comprised of a six-episode video series and a dynamic briefing book, produced by the Bertelsmann Foundation. With a view toward advancing our mission to strengthen transatlantic relations, this project focuses on the pressing challenges in need of Euro-American alignment as the center of gravity shifts from President Trump to President Biden.
My main job is to design artistic styles based on the director’s direction, and provide solutions for visual effects. In collaboration with director Tom Glynn, I selected the animation technical pipeline based on the topic of each episode, found and coordinated the relevant artists, and assisted them to complete the animation ad visual effects production.In these video series, we not only tried various styles, such as Cyberpunk, biological science, surrealism, etc., but also used a large number of new animation technologies, such as real-time rendering, Virtual Production, Motion Graphic, etc.
