Inanimate Spirits | Film
This film is based on an experience of a trip to a Californian ghost town called Bodie, which reminds me of a similar experience in my hometown. Increasingly development of economy and the coming of capitalism in China has changed the society a lot, causing people to leave their hometown including my family and me. Every house used to have a dream and memory and the people’s previous houses only appear in their dream or photos which is a such sad and inevitable thing. I want to describe these feeling through surreal and minimalist methods such as floating houses, flying photo frames and strange toys!
